LAURA HOPPER

Laura, a co-owner and coach at Rising Tide Irish Dance Academy, took the lead bringing the 2022 Atlantic Canadian Irish Dance Championship and the 2023 Atlantic Canadian Irish Dance Championship to Halifax. 

WHY SHE DID IT

Laura wanted to bring a world-class event to Halifax and give local Irish dance students the opportunity to participate in something special and memorable right here at home. 

BIG OUTCOMES

Because of Laura, more than 1,000 delegates came to Halifax in April 2022 for the Atlantic Canadian Irish Dance Competition, including 250 Irish dancers.
