Jason Gu - Dalhousie University

JASON GU

Jason is a professor in the Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering in the School of Biomedical Engineering at Dalhousie University and has really been a Take the Lead Champion for over a decade. In fact, it was a conference that first brought Jason to our beautiful city.

Jason has championed exciting events like the Electrical Power & Energy Conference, Chinese New Year, Canadian Conference on Electrical & Computer Engineering, and the IEEE Congress on Cybermatics.

WHY HE DID IT

Bringing events to the city offers his colleagues and students opportunities to develop their skills and meet others in their field. It also gives us a chance to showcase the exciting work being done here in Nova Scotia.

Jason encourages his colleagues and students to Take the Lead and bring events that are relevant to their interests and expertise.

BIG OUTCOMES

Jason has led or influenced more than 15 conferences and events to find a temporary home in Halifax. This has led to thousands of delegates landing in our city and millions of dollars in economic impact.
